In you spare time, you can go on an archipelago safari, study the bird life, enjoy fishing with experienced guides or watch the seals. Hunting activities are arranged in cooperation with the local hunting guides. On Silverskär you can relax and take a walk around the island, experiencing its unique nature and enjoying the view from the pavilion on the north side of the island. The magnificent view over Norrhavet (North Sea) fills the visitors with peace at sunset or at sunrise in case you are an early bird! Here you can also, protected from the winds and in the warmth of the wood stove, enjoy the spectacle played by the storm which churns the water to foam. For those interested in sports, there is a tennis court, kayaks and opportunities for pentathlon, including various shooting activities. Silverskär offers an exclusive and relaxing environment, as opposed to the hours spent in a traditional conference hall. Your batteries get recharged and the discussions lead to good results.
Food from the Åland islands - our specialty! At Silverskär we are proud to use the high quality produce that the Åland islands offer. Our supply varies with the seasons but we always prepare the meals with the ambition to give you a culinary delight that will last in your memory. Our chef will serve you a good square meal of genuine Åland island fare with that little extra something. In our own greenhouse, we grow vegetables and herbs that are naturally pesticide free. The ingredients in our menu reflect that we fish and hunt on Silverskär and pick the mushrooms and berries in the forest in autumn. How about freshly smoked perch and flounder or oven roasted roe deer saddle or wild bird?
