Product description

During two terrific days around the islands of Lidö or Fejan you will learn the basic of seakayaking. We will stay at the hostel at Lidö or Fejan and eat well at a first-class arichpelago restaurant. We will finish the evening with a sauna and mayby another swim in the sea. The course will teach you the basic of seakayaking with focus on self- and buddy rescues. This is the perfect holiday for you that want something relaxing but still learn something new.

Day 1
We will meet at  Kajak&Uteliv on Gräddö Brygga at 9.00 for an introduction to the weekend, the theory behind todays exercises and how you behave on the sea. After that it is time to find a kayak and a wet-suit that fits you. When the kayaks are loaded we will head of out to sea.  We will start with basic paddle strokes, which is the most important thing to get a relaxed and enjoyable trip. We will stop for lunch, that we brought ourselves, at a sheltered place. During the afternoon we will practise different rescues, you will get wet, but you will have a wet-suit to keep you comfortably warm. Now we head to Lidö or Fejan hostel where a sauna is waiting for us and maybe will there be more swimming in the sea. Dinner will be served at the restaurant and afterwards a good nights sleep is waiting for us at the hostel.

Day 2
After breakfast another great paddling day awaits us. We will practise more on the paddling strokes and if the weather allow us we will try them out in waves and wind. We will make several stops during the day and learn how to read the map and how you behave as a kayaker at sea. During one of our stops we will eat out self brought lunch. We will be back at Gräddö around 16.00 to clean the kayaks and a cup of coffee.
