Explore some of the 25,000 islands in the Stockholm Archipelago during a 3-day or 5-day kayak adventure. Most are uninhabited and set in one of the wildest areas of Europe, yet only an hour away from the center of Stockholm.
"Kayaking with a very good guide and good cook! Camping in the islands... I really enjoyed it!... I'll be back someday"
Hélène Bitschine, France
After a short training session, cruise along at an easy tempo that will suit both beginners and advanced kayakers. Listen to your guides relate knowledge of the archipelago, its history, flora, and fauna. Discover the finest islands, skerries, and inlets. Find a deserted island to take a swim and stop for a rest with a well-prepared lunch.
Discover Runmarö Island, one of the best paddling areas in the whole archipelago, perhaps in the whole world. Glide silently along narrow, shallow passages between the islets where even oystercatchers and seagulls reach the bottom. The Nämdö archipelago is proposed to become a National Park and even a World Heritage Site, and you will see why.
When night falls, sleep on comfortable air mattresses in 3-person tents (2 people will be assigned per tent). Wake up and go for a swim, or try your luck (or skill) by fishing for your dinner.
