No earlier paddling experience required. You will learn about the kayak, it’s equipment and how to pack it – and how to get in and out of the kayak in a safe way. Experiencing nature this close to the water surface brings you nearer to the wildlife and makes you feel closer to it all. You don’t have to worry about shallow waters or cope with ropes, engines and all the gear on other types of boats. You can focus on nature and at the same time get some exercise. After a small kayak trip to some secluded bay you eat lunch together, on the rocks. Then you will practice rescue techniques, including how to rescue others. Don´t forget to bring spare clothes, you will get wet!

The course contains all the elements requierd for the Euro Paddle Pass level yellow, which the participants receives if they pass the examination.

It is possible to buy a packed lunch for 10 euros/person.

An extra night at a hostel close buy 26 euro/night/person. You need to ring your own sheets and food.

From Åland and Finland:
Take the ferry from Mariehamn (Åland) or Nådendahl (Finland, requier a car) to Kapellskär and with car drive towards Norrtälje, in the first intersection turn right at the sign Gräddö. Continue to go straight until you arrive at Gräddö Village, drive past the supermarket and turn right at the boat club. Kajak&Uteliv is suited at the end of the road, at the waterfront. You can also take the bus from the ferry number 631 towards Norrtälje, busstop Gräddö Torg. Walk the last 200 meters to the end of the road.

From Stockholm:
Take the E18 towards Norrtälje. Continue when E18 turns towards Kapellskär. Turn left at when at the Gräddö and Räfsnäs sign. Continue to go straight until you arrive at Gräddö Village, drive past the supermarket and turn right at the boat club. Kajak&Uteliv is suited at the end of the road, at the waterfront.

From Uppsala:
Take the E4 south towards Stockholm. Follow the sign Norrtälje. At takeoff no 184 turn of the E4 onto road 77. Continue driving on road 77 until you reach the E18. Drive on E18 follow he signs towards Kappelskär. Turn left at when at the Gräddö and Räfsnäs sign. Continue to go straight until you arrive at Gräddö Village, drive past the supermarket and turn right at the boat club. Kajak&Uteliv is suited at the end of the road, at the waterfront.

From Arlanda Airport:
Take road 273 from Arlanda. When you get to road 77 tun right on to road 77. Continue driving on road 77 until you reach the E18. Drive on E18 follow he signs towards Kappelskär. Turn left at when at the Gräddö and Räfsnäs sign. Continue to go straight until you arrive at Gräddö Village, drive past the supermarket and turn right at the boat club. Kajak&Uteliv is suited at the end of the road, at the waterfront.

Weekdays: 100 euro/person

Weekends:   120 euro/person

Included in the course: Kayak, paddle, spray skirt, PFD, wetsuit,  experienced instructor and course certificate.

You bring yourself: Outdoor clothes (not jeans or cotton), long johns and long sleved top (t.ex. craft), wet-weather clothes, swimming togs, waterproof shoes, towel, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses, change of clothes do you will get wet, waterbottle (you can fill it at Kajak och Uteliv), something warm to drink, lunch, snack, drybag (plastic bag is fine). If you like you can bring goggles.

Course is held in english and swedish.

Bookning and payment

• Bookning is done either via email or phonecall to Kajak & Uteliv and is binding, within a couple of days a confirmation of your booking is sent to you.
• Payment will take place right after the confirmation is sent out.  

Cancellation

• Cancellation earlier then 14 days before depature the total fee will be refunded.
• Cancellation 7-13 days before departure a 50 % refund is made.
• Cancellation later then 7 days before departure is not refundable.

Changing of dates

• Free change of date until 7 days before departure.
• Changing of date 3-7 days before depature, a changingfee for 200 SEK per booking occur.
• Changing of date 1-3 days before departure, a changingfee of 300 SEK per booking occur.

Cancellation protection

• You can arrange a cancellaton protection when you book at a cost of
  100 SEK per kayak.
• The protection is ONLY valid for you and/or your party if you become ill.
• A doctor´s certificate is requested to get money back (except the
  cancellation protection fee)
• Cancellation that needs to be done outside normal office hours (9 am-6 pm) need to be sent to our email. Cancellations that is done after the tour/course started is not considered.

Participants right to sign away the participation

• Participant has the right to sign away the course or tour to someone that fullfil the qualifications for the course or tour. The name of the new participants needs to be reported to Kajak & Uteliv.

Cancellation of course/ guided tour

• Kajak & Uteliv reserve the right to cancel the course in due to bad weather conditions or too few participants. Minimum participants is 5.
