The area is famous for its rare flowers and many oak trees.
Every cottage is close to the sea, that gives you a beautiful view from your windows. You can take the rowing boat for a picnic on a small islet, or walk to the restaurant in the neighborhood for an ice cream or to play mini-golf.

The winter offer various possibilities
Pick your own Christmas tree and celebrate Christmas and New Years Eve in peaceful surroundings. Why not cutle up by the fire place and drink glögg (mulled wine).

You can also spend some days ice-fishing during the winter season. If you are lucky you can even do some ice skating.

Långviken Cottages are situated in Bastö, Finström - close to a sheltered bay, facing south west. Distance from Mariehamn is only 32 km.

Sport fishing!

During spring and autumn sport fishing is very popular. The fishing waters areas are extensive - more than 20 km² all together! It is well-known that the north-west part of Aland has the best pike and perch waters. And if you are lucky - a sea trout might bite!

In the fishing season, April-June and September-November, you can rent boats with outboard motors, buy fishing licences, get a map of the area - and try out different angling methods - with spinners, wobblers, spoons and jigs.

We also recommend that you hire an experienced fishing guide for a few hours - he knows where the pikes are hiding.

Our 15 boats are safe and steady. Length 4,15 - 4,40 m (2-3 anglers) You can rent with outboard motor, 4 - 10 hp. The rent includes fuel, anchor and life jackets.
Fish cleaning tables with water and lighting are available - and a fish-smoker.

The size, standard and prices of the cottages varies from 3 to 5 stars. It´s your choice!

Almost every cottage has its own shoreline - smooth rocks, stones or grass.

You get to The Åland Islands by ferry or airplane from Sweden or Finland. To get to Åland by ferry find more information in the Viking Line FERRY, Eckerö Linjen FERRY or Tallink Silja timetables. If you prefer to travel by air you can find information in the Air Åland AIRPLANE timetables.

In the summer season - from Midsummer (24th of June) to the middle of August - you must rent the cottage for at least for one week (changeover day is Saturday) - at other times you can also rent a cottage for a weekend or a few days.

The biggest cottage has 8 beds.
