Welcome to the Scandinavian Islands

This unique region is easy to access from Stockholm and Turku, from where cruise ships and ferries pass through the area and all the way out to the smallest, inhabited islands. Mariehamn, the capital of the autonomous region Åland, is well connected from Stockholm, Turku and Helsinki.

GO YOUR OWN WAY.
CHOOSE QUALITY AND HARMONY.
CHOOSE SCANDINAVIAN ISLANDS.

Central Baltic Showcase photo exhibition 2011

“Europe in my region: what is being done with our EU money?”

The Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 will stage photo exhibitions during 10-30 October in Helsinki, Mariehamn, Riga, Stockholm and Tallinn to showcase how EU funds have benefited people in the Central Baltic region.

The Scandinavian Islands producer Schooner VEGA did during summer 2011 a cross border sail Stockholm - Åland - Turku Archipelago. The cross border initiative of Captain Egil Bergström and his wife Kerstin Bergström on Schooner Vega will be on display on these photo exhibitions, as an example of how the project Branding Scandinavian Islands is affecting people and surroundings in the region.
